Holbrooke denies allegations

Washington - Mr Richard Holbrooke, who negotiated the Bosnian peace agreement in Dayton, yesterday denied alleged ethics violations that are holding up his appointment as US ambassador to the United Nations. President Clinton nominated Mr Holbrooke to the UN post in June, but it has not been sent to the Senate for approval pending a review of his financial affairs. --(Reuters)
