Residents in a Crumlin street were evacuated from their homes for over an hour last night after a suspect device was found under a parked car in Kilare Road.
An Army bomb disposal team was called to the area, which is just off the Clogher Road, at 10.55pm.
After examining the device, the Army concluded it was an elaborate hoax and residents were allowed to return to their homes.
The Army was called to deal with a hoax nail bomb that was found under a car on the same road last week.
Two days earlier a pipe bomb exploded outside a house on Monasterboice Road, also in Crumlin.
It was thrown from a passing car into the front garden of the house and exploded underneath the living room window.
