Almost half a million euros worth of heroin was seized by Kildare gardaí last night.
Officers from Athy seized one-and-a-half kilogrammes of the drug - with an estimated street value of €475,000 - during a search of a vehicle in the town.
One man (32) was arrested and later released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
