The Irish Heart Foundation has announced the appointment of its new chief executive, Mr Michael O'Shea (49), who takes over from Mr Paddy Murphy on January 1st. Mr O'Shea has been operations manager with the Heart Foundation for the past 10 years. He retired from the Defence Forces as commandant in 1990, having served in Limerick, the Curragh, Dublin and several Middle East countries while on UN missions.
