Workshops on managing fear

Feel the Fear and Do It Anywayis the theme and title of three workshops this month based on the best-selling book of the same name by Susan Jeffers. Lecture in sexual orientation

Sexual orientation and mental health is the theme of this month's public lecture organised by the depression support charity, Aware.

Odhrán Allen, director of mental health strategy of the Gay and Lesbian Equality Network, will examine how personal and societal attitudes to sexual orientation affect the mental health of individuals.

The lecture takes place tomorrow at 7.30pm in St Patrick's Hospital, James St, Dublin. Admission is free. See www.aware.ie.

Eating and lifestyle course

A weight management course which focuses on eating healthy foods and exercising runs for six evenings, starting on June 26th in Rathmines, Dublin.

The course will include individual consultations with dietary and lifestyle advice and a healthy cooking demonstration.
