The inquest into the death of Savita Halappanavar (31) resumes in Galway this morning with expert testimony from a former master of the National Maternity Hospital as well as postmortem results on both Ms Halappanavar and her daughter, Prasa.
Dr Peter Boylan is expected to take the stand later this morning, following testimony from two of last week's witnesses who have been recalled in an effort to clear up disagreement over the timing and content of a phone call between them.
Among the issues Gerard O'Donnell, solicitor for Praveen Halppanavar, expects Dr Boylan to address is whether the consultant obstetrician who treated Ms Halappanavar was "over-conservative" in her interpretation of the legal position on abortion.
