Hasbro to seek 22 redundancies

Waterford-based toy and games manufacturer Hasbro, is seeking further job cuts at its plant.

Waterford-based toy and games manufacturer Hasbro, is seeking further job cuts at its plant.

Management told the workforce this afternoon that 22 jobs may go but Siptu, which represents the workers, says it has been asked only for a meeting with the management.

Hasbro is an international company, making high-end toys and games, and was established in Waterford in 1977. Three hundred people currently are employed. Some 100 jobs were lost in the company three years ago.
