Harbour blocked by whale's body

A whale's body blocked Greenport slipway, on the east coast of Tory Island, at the weekend. The whale, 60 feet long and weighing over 35 tonnes, was severely injured when it arrived in the harbour, where it died a short time later. Local authorities are expected to arrive on the island today to arrange disposal of the carcass.
