London - Daryl Hannah won warm reviews yesterday after beating severe stage fright to become the latest Hollywood actress to tread the London stage, reprising a role made famous by Marilyn Monroe. Hannah appeared in The Seven Year Itch, whose movie version included the famous scene in which Monroe's skirt billowed up around her over a grate. That scene was not in the original stage version, which hit Broadway three years before the 1955 film, but Hannah tried to make amends by undoing a few buttons in front of a domestic fan.
