Half brother of Saddam denies claim

Baghdad - President Saddam Hussein's half brother, Mr Barzan Takriti, yesterday denied opposition reports that he had defected to the United Arab Emirates. "These allegations which the media insist on repeating have induced them into error, as they have in the past," he said, referring to reports that he had asked the UAE for political asylum.
