A woman and her three young children were held hostage while her husband was forced to remove money from the bank where he works in Co Tyrone, it emerged this evening.
The terrified mother and her children aged nine, seven, and one, were held last night in their home in Castlederg, by two masked men, one armed with a handgun.
The man was ordered to go to the Ulster Bank branch at Abercorn Square in Strabane and take a sum of cash. He was instructed to take a taxi to the Rosgier picnic area across the border in Lifford where the money was passed to a man in a dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra.
The same bank was held up in July when a gang escaped with around £300,000 after holding an employee and his family hostage.
