Thessaloniki - Embattled Greek Prime Minister, Mr Costas Simitis, said yesterday he would seek to lead his socialist PASOK party in the next elections in 2004.
Mr Simitis, who has streamlined the economy and brought Greece into the euro zone in January, made clear he would not quit in the face of strong protests over proposed pension reforms and privatisations. Opinion polls have been mixed for the ruling socialists in recent months.
