Ms Christine Buckley, the woman whose experiences in the former orphanage at Goldenbridge, Dublin, were described in last year's Dear Daughter documentary on RTE television, is to stand in the general election.
Ms Buckley will run as an independent candidate in Dublin South, campaigning on the need to provide services to help vulnerable children and parents in their homes.
