A Dublin man who gardai saw digging £200,000 worth of heroin from under a rail sleeper has been jailed for six years by Judge Kieran O'Connor at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. Anthony "Harpo" O'Driscoll (22), of Croftwood Park, Ballyfermot, was found guilty by a jury last month of having the heroin for supply on February 22nd, 1996.

Sgt James Carroll said O'Driscoll had 10 pervious convictions. Judge O'Connor said were O'Driscoll not so young, the court would have imposed a 10-year sentence.
