A court was told yesterday that gardaí have recovered a quantity of dangerous drugs in a doctor's bag after co-operation from a Dublin man.

Last Wednesday Mr Mark Ingram (22), of Brookview Avenue, Tallaght, refused to tell Ennis District Court the whereabouts of a doctor's medical bag containing what Supt John Kerin described as "a large amount of dangerous drugs".

He initially refused to disclose the location of the drugs despite Supt Kerin expressing fears that if young people came into contact with them lives would be endangered.

At yesterday's sitting the court was told that after last Wednesday's hearing Mr Ingram showed two gardaí where the drugs were.

In evidence, Sgt Michael Haran said there was evidence that the defendant might have taken some of the drugs himself, adding that a used needle was found at the scene and that some morphine was missing.

Mr Ingram was further remanded in custody until September 6th to reappear before the same court. He is charged with stealing a doctor's car containing the drugs on August 20th.
