The body of a man found in Finglas, Dublin, yesterday afternoon has been identified by Gardaí.
The body of Andrew Dillon (28) from Berryfield Road in Finglas, was discovered by a walker at around 4pm yesterday.
A Garda spokeswoman said he was found lying in a ditch at the side of Green Lane. It is understood he was shot in the head.
The body was removed from the scene to Blanchardstown Hospital last night and a postmortem is due today.
