Gardaí have made 24 seizures of illegal drugs in Dublin's Mountjoy Prison.
A spokesman said the seizures came as part of "ongoing operations to twart the supply of controlled drugs to persons within the prison complex".
He said the operations were conducted on Friday and Saturday by gardaí from the North Central Division of the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
"In addition to initiating prosecutions against those involved for possession of controlled drugs, gardaí are contemplating initiating prosecutions against a number of individuals for supply of controlled drugs in this case," he added.
