Gardaí in Dublin are looking for a Northern Ireland-registered car after a hit-and-run in Clondalkin at the weekend.

A 16-year-old girl was seriously injured after she was hit by a car as she walked near the junction of Dunawley Estate and Fonthill Road at 8.30pm on Sunday.

Officers are now looking for a Fiat Brava, registration number YIB 5643.

This car was seen driving away in the direction of the N4 after the incident. It was seen in Dundalk, Co Louth, yesterday, a Garda spokesman said.
