Gardai investigate death of man in Co Donegal

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out on the body of a man found dead in Co Donegal yesterday.

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out on the body of a man found dead in Co Donegal yesterday.

The body of Mr Sean Duffy (36) who was from Nenagh Cross, near Dungloe, was discovered in his home by a relative.

The Assistant State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis carried out a preliminary examination at the scene this morning, before the body was removed to Letterkenny General Hospital.

Mr Duffy was last seen leaving his mother's house a short distance away at around 2.30 p.m. yesterday.

Gardaí are treating the death as suspicious.

It is understood Mr Duffy suffered a number of blows to the head and body.
