Two gardai were injured yesterday in a stoning incident at Sheriff Street flats in Dublin

Two gardai were injured yesterday in a stoning incident at Sheriff Street flats in Dublin. One was said to have received a serious head wound during the attack. The gardai were investigating an incident involving a stolen car earlier in the day when they were stoned by a group of youths at about 7 p.m. The gardai were taken to the Mater Hospital suffering from head and leg injuries. One person was arrested and taken to Store Street garda station.
