Gardaí in Co Wexford are appealing for witnesses to a road crash yesterday afternoon in which a 40-year-old cyclist was killed.

The crash happened at about 3.45pm yesterday on the N30 in the townland of Moneytucker, Clonroche near Enniscorthy.

The cyclist was struck by a car and died at scene. He was removed to Wexford General Hospital a short time later.

The driver of the car, a man in his early 20s, and three passengers were uninjured.

A technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda forensic collision investigators.
