Gardaí appeal for help to find missing man

GARDAÍ HAVE appealed for assistance in their search for a missing man who was last seen in Dublin's south inner city on Tuesday evening.

James O'Connell (20), Park Avenue, Castleknock, Dublin, was last seen at about 6.15pm around Lower Baggot Street and nearby Pembroke Road. He had an appointment in town on that evening and had been dropped off in the area by a family member.

Mr O'Connell failed to return home later the same evening and was subsequently reported missing to gardaí. His family have not heard from him since and there have been no reported sightings.

Mr O'Connell is described as being 5ft 8in tall, of medium/slight build with brown hair and blue eyes. He has the name Clara tattooed on his lower right arm.

When last seen he was wearing a grey hoody top with a yellow stripe across the chest, white runners and grey tracksuit bottoms.

Anybody with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Harcourt Terrace Garda station on 01-666 9500.

His family has also set up their own search campaign. They have asked anybody with information on his whereabouts, or who may have seen Mr O'Connell, to contact them immediately on 086-399 8051.
