A garda was injured yesterday after he tried to stop a car whose occupants were reported to be acting suspiciously in Ennis, Co Clare.
Gardaí believe they foiled a serious crime, possibly a robbery, after a garda spotted the silver Honda Civic and attempted to stop it at about 2.30pm at Abbey Street.
The driver failed to stop and drove over the garda’s foot before speeding off.
