Garda commissioner says gardaí believe they know Donohoe killers

Garda commissioner Martin Callinan has said gardaí believe they know the identities of those who killed Det Garda Adrian Donohoe two weeks ago. However, the investigation would be “painstaking and methodical”, and while backed with generous “financial and human” resources the investigation would not be rushed into early arrests.

“We are following a number of lines of inquiry in relation to the people we believe are responsible for this crime.”
