Gardaí investigating the murder of Meg Walsh yesterday renewed their appeal for public assistance.
Gardaí say they are still gathering evidence and that assistance from the public, particularly information on the Waterford woman's car, could be vital to the investigation.
Detectives are anxious to trace the movements of the silver Mitsubishi Carisma from when Ms Walsh was last seen on October 1st, to when the vehicle was found in a hotel car park on October 4th.
Gardaí say anyone who saw the car, parked or moving, during that time could provide crucial information.
Meanwhile, gardaí are awaiting the results of DNA tests carried out on scrapings taken from under Ms Walsh's nails. They have also forensically examined a pair of rubber gloves found near the quays in Waterford.
Meg Walsh (35), a mother of one, went missing after a night out at the Woodlands hotel in Waterford. Her body was found in the River Suir on October 15th with extensive injuries to her head and body. Her funeral took place last Thursday.
The following day a man in his 40s was arrested and held for 12 hours but was released without charge. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
