Gardaí have named the 62-year-old pedestrian who died in a road crash in Co Galway yesterday.
He was Michael Farrell from Newtown Ganaveen, Laurencetown.
Mr Farrell died after he was struck by a car at Ohillymore, Laurencetown, Ballinasloe at around 2.15am.
A postmortem examination is due to take place on Monday at Tullamore General Hospital.
