The body of an Irishwoman killed in a climbing accident in Argentina is to be brought home after Christmas. Ms Noreen Gilmore, of Glenamaddy, Co Galway, fell 60 metres from a precipice after reaching the summit of Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Americas, late on Wednesday. Ms Gilmore (44) was climbing with seven or eight other Irish climbers, including her sister Eileen, as part of a two-day expedition to the summit, but the others were below her and did not know how she fell, according to local police.
