Gaelic Games:The GAA has announced a rise in television viewing figures for the first three months of this year's All-Ireland championship.

May, June and July all show a year-on-year increase of 44 per cent, one per cent and nine per cent respectively. June’s minimal increase comes despite the World Cup taking place from the 11th and 56 games being from then to the end of the month.

The aggregate figures show an increase of 29 per cent for 2010, while the average figure game by game showed an 11 per cent rise.

The Munster hurling final replay between Cork and Waterford on July 17th was the most watched game (469,000 average/655,000 peak), followed by the All-Ireland football quarter-final meeting of Dublin and Tyrone last weekend (412,000 average /507,000 peak).
