Fowler to stay at Leeds, claims agent

Robbie Fowler's agent today quashed rumours that the Leeds striker's move to Manchester City could be revived.

Robbie Fowler's agent today quashed rumours that the Leeds striker's move to Manchester City could be revived.

George Scott told BBC: "He [Fowler] is happy where he is. Leeds would consider an offer, but there hasn't been a new offer for Robbie".

Fowler's proposed £7 million sterling move to City collapsed earlier this month after a fee and personal terms had been agreed.

Fowler stunned City by revealing he had changed his mind and intended to stay at Elland Road.

There were suggestions that Fowler had pulled out of the move because City had attempted to renegotiate the deal with an initial down payment followed by appearance-related installments because of apparent concerns over a hip injury that Fowler had in the summer.
