Ulster retained their position at the top of the League table, a 32-7 home win over Cardiff stretching their lead to seven points over Llanelli.
Not to be outdone, Connacht recorded a 33-22 away win over Neath Swansea to leap into fourth position in the table.
Also at home, Munster edged Celtic Warriors 22-21, while in Glasgow, Gary Ella's Leinster side recorded a comprehensive 33-10 victory over the home team.
