Four held as man escapes in Limerick shooting

Four men have been arrested after a shooting in Limerick city this evening.

Four men have been arrested after a shooting in Limerick city this evening.

A man in a car was shot at near the Crescent shopping centre in Dooradoyle at about 5 p.m. It is believed two men on a motorbike fired two shots at the man, who managed to drive away unhurt.

A Garda spokeswoman said the four were arrested a short time later outside the city. They are being held in Roxboro Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
