Four men were being questioned by detectives at Gough Barracks, Armagh, last night after police foiled an attempted armed robbery in Lurgan earlier in the day. The RUC made arrests and recovered two weapons at the scene of the incident in Albert Street near the centre of Lurgan yesterday morning.
Meanwhile, police are investigating the discovery of human remains near Derriaghy, Co Antrim. Schoolchildren found human bones in a ditch on the outskirts of the Milltown Estate.
