Four men will appear in court in Athy, Co Kildare later this morning after being arrested on Sunday as part of ongoing investigations into organised crime.
A fifth man was released without charge.
The five men were arrested in Kill, Co Kildare on Sunday. They were detained after gardaí stopped two cars in the village.
Two firearms were found when officers searched the cars. Gardaí said this was an intelligence-led operation targeting organised crime.
