London - British entertainer Bruce Forsyth said yesterday he was quitting the ITV television network because he felt insulted by a scheduling change to one of his game shows.
"It's been an ongoing saga, and the final insult as far as he's concerned . . . was when Price is Right was scheduled at 5.20 p.m. on a Saturday, the first time in 30 years that a show from a series of his had ever been scheduled outside prime time," a spokesman for Forsyth said.
"He's not retiring, he's just not prepared to let his career be scheduled so disrespectfully . . . you are actually scheduling it to fail," he added.
