Relatives there of TDs elected to the first Dáil included Mary Banotti and Nora Owen, Michael Collins’s grandnieces, and Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Eamon Ó Cuív and Síle de Valera, grandchildren of Éamon de Valera.
