The death has occurred of Dr Eamon Kennedy (79), a former Irish ambassador to the United Nations.
He died on Tuesday at his home in New York and is survived by his wife and two children. Dr Kennedy will be buried in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin tomorrow after 11 a.m. Mass in the Church of St John the Baptist, Clontarf.
