Racing:  This afternoon's meeting at Folkestone has been abandoned due to a combination of waterlogging and strong winds.

Clerk of the course Neil Mackenzie-Ross held a precautionary inspection at 10.00am and found parts of the track to be unraceable.

He said: "Unfortunately we've had to abandon today's racing.

"There are a few areas of the track that have now become waterlogged and we have very high winds as well, which aren't helping things.

"We've had a further 10 millimetres of rain this morning and it continues to rain so there's no chance of improvement."
