Nashville - Five of the six convicts who escaped from an Alabama prison were captured in Tennessee and a manhunt was under way for the other, police and FBI agents said yesterday.
The five were found after authorities in Hickman County came across a blue car the fugitives apparently had abandoned. An FBI agent at the scene said officials believed the other man was still in the area, roughly 200 miles north of the Alabama prison from which they fled.
