Insurgents fired a mortar bomb into a busy market in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul today, killing at least five civilians and wounding 21 others.
Police said the market, which is not near any US or Iraqi security facilities, was crowded at the time.
Mosul lies 240 miles north of Baghdad.
