CAIRO Fist fights between lawyers disrupted the trial of an alleged Israeli spy and his Egyptian colleague in Cairo yesterday, reports Siona Jenkins. The fighting erupted at the end of the session, the second in the controversial trial which has helped bring Israeli Egyptian relations to their lowest point since the two signed the Camp David accords almost 20 years ago.
At the centre of the case are an Israeli textile worker from Israel's minority Druze community, Mr Azam Azam (34), his alleged Egyptian counterpart, Mr Emad Abdelhamid Ismail and two Israeli Druze women.
The trial resumes on June 14th.
