Proposed new EU regulations limiting the number of days at sea for certain fishing vessels are still the subject of negotiation, the Department of the Marine has said.
Commenting on fears expressed by Donegal fish processors on the impact of the measures on the mackerel fleet, the Department said it was still discussing the issue with fishing industry representatives.
