A World Bank employee in Washington has been preliminarily diagnosed with swine flu after visiting Mexico on business, the bank said.
The staff member was in Mexico from April 14th to April 18th, before the outbreak was reported by world health officials.
He was in the office for part of the day on April 20th, and colleagues who were in contact with him have been asked to work from home, according to the World Bank. The employee sought treatment upon his return from Mexico, and has since fully recovered.
He received a preliminary diagnosis last night, and a second test is underway by the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.
