Gardai have seized fireworks with a street value of €40,000 during a raid on a premises in Finglas, north Dublin last night.

No arrests were made and Gardai are continuing their investigations.

In a separate incident, Gardai at Ronanstown are investigating a shooting incident which occurred this afternoon.

The shooting took place at Foxdene Grove, Clondalkin where an 18-year-old sustained injuries to his leg and face.

Gardai believe he was shot by a lone male. The injured youth was taken to Tallaght Hospital where his condition is described as serious but not life threatening.
