Stock at a Dublin docklands warehouse that caught fire on Monday night destroying the facility reignited overnight.
The fire at the R&H Hall grain store on Alexandra Road was tackled by 14 units of Dublin Fire Brigade at the height of the blaze. Firefighters remained on alert this week as smouldering animal feed threatened to flare up.
Eight fire crews were called to the scene last night as animal feed ingredients at two giant silos reignited. A number remained of units remain on standby this morning.
A spokesman for the company on Tuesday said he was unable to say when the store would reopen but ruled out any job losses at the firm as a result of the blaze.
R&H Hall, which is Ireland's biggest importer and supplier of animal feed ingredients for manufacturing, is a division of Irish agribusiness giant IAWS.
In September, gardaí in Cork opened an investigation into the cause of a fire that caused several million euro worth of damage to a 43-metre-tall grain silo belonging to R&H Hall on Kennedy Quay.
Officers said they believed the Cork fire may have been the work of arsonists.
