London - Conservative MP Mr John Redwood reacted to the election of William Hague as Tory leader by accusing MPs of having "chosen the worst of all the six candidates", a new book has claimed. The allegation appears in Guilty Men, by Hywel Williams, who worked for Mr Redwood when he was Welsh Secretary and acted as his chief-of-staff during his 1995 and 1997 party leadership campaigns. Mr Redwood was also said to have described Mr Hague as looking like "a very old baby".A senior Conservative spokesman said last night: "We don't intend to dignify the rubbish in this book with a comment." But Labour moved immediately, challenging Mr Hague to sack Mr Redwood from his Shadow Cabinet.
