File delay on Garda custody fatality

A further three people are to be interviewed in relation to the death of a man who was found collapsed in a cell.

A further three people are to be interviewed in relation to the death of a man who was found collapsed in a cell.

Mark Anthony Reidy (32), Keeper Road, Drimnagh, was found unresponsive at Terenure Garda station on December 30th, 2007. A postmortem found that he died of methadone and alcohol intoxication.

Garda Ombudsman Commissioner Conor Brady told the coroner’s court yesterday that about three more people had to be interviewed before a file can be sent to the DPP. Coroner Dr Brian Farrell adjourned the inquest to September.
