The Government will publish figures today that are expected to show no slow-down in the Irish economy.

The half-year Exchequre Returns will be released by the Department of Finance later this afternoon.

The figures are set to show a Budget deficit of €600 million for the first six months of 2005. Tax returns across all headings are expected to be on or above target.
