The Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education has "warmly welcomed" an announcement yesterday by the North's education minister, Mr Tony Worthington, reducing the number of pupils necessary to open a new integrated secondary school in its first year from 100 to 80 pupils.

Mr Worthington said the previous viability figure was too severe.
