November 2000Drug dealer Eddie Ryan snr (41) is shot dead in a Limerick pub. One of the gunmen is his former associate Kieran Keane (36). Just days before his murder Ryan snr tried to kill a member of the Keane family but his gun jammed.

November 2002

Brian Fitzgerald (34) is shot dead outside his home in Corbally because he refused to allow one of the feuding gangs to sell drugs in the nightclub where he worked. Two men - Gary Campion (24), Pineview Gardens, and James Martin Cahill (33) from the UK - are serving life for that killing. Three others were acquitted. They are brothers John (27) and Desmond (23) Dundon, Ballinacurra, Weston, and Anthony Kelly (50), Kilrush.

Kieran Keane is shot dead by the McCarthy Dundon gang, five of whom are serving life for the murder. The gang staged the kidnapping of Kieran Ryan and Eddie Ryan jnr - the sons of Eddie Ryan snr - to lure Keane to his murder.

July 2003

John Ryan (47) is shot dead in Thomandgate. He was a brother of Eddie Ryan snr. John Ryan's killing is seen as retaliation for Kieran Keane's murder.

October 2003

Michael Campbell McNamara (23) is abducted and beaten by the McCarthy Dundons.

He is told to ring a drug-dealing associate of the Keanes, Brian Collopy, and arrange to meet him so they could kill him. Collopy declines to meet so the gang kill Campbell McNamara, stabbing him 10 times before shooting him in the head. One man is currently in prison for his role in the murder.

May 2006

Expectant father Aidan Kelly (19) is shot five times in the head, torso and legs in rural Co Clare. He was linked to the McCarthy Dundon gang and is believed to have been killed by associates of Kieran Keane.

September 2006

"Fat" Frankie Ryan (21) is shot in the head as he sits in his car in Moyross. He is believed to have been murdered by associates of Kieran Keane.

December 2006

Noel Crawford (40) is shot dead outside his parents' house at O'Malley Park, Southill. He was a member of the McCarthy Dundon gang.

April 2007

Noel Campion (34) is shot dead. He was aligned to the McCarthy Dundon gang.

Gardaí believe he was trying to establish his own drugs business and was killed by members of his own gang who feared his growing influence on the drugs scene.

November 2007

The skeletal remains of Richard "Happy" Kelly are found in an east Clare lake. Gardaí believe the minor criminal was killed by one of the feuding factions who blamed him for stealing one of their cars containing drugs.

April 5th, 2008

Mark Moloney (40) is shot dead in a drive-by shooting in Garryowen. He was loosely associated with members of the Keane-Collopy gang and gardaí believe he was shot by the McCarthy Dundons.

April 7th, 2008

The body of a teenager is found in a shallow grave on waste ground near the Caledonian Park area of Limerick city. Gardaí believe his murder is linked to Mark Moloney's killing.
