Gardai will be stopping and searching vehicles approaching Kells, Co Meath, today as they fear a feud between two Travelling families could continue at the removal this evening and funeral tomorrow of another Traveller.
Garda sources said there were indications that the feud, which broke out at a funeral in the west earlier this year, could occur again. As a precaution, they have asked publicans in the town not to open during the removal or the funeral.
